Who We Are

NENS EcoBuild was created with a simple belief: that people deserve renovations that are done with care, done right, and done without the headaches that have become the industry norm.

We're a York Region-based renovation coordination company led by Nataly Spinosa, a PMP®-certified Project Manager and LEED® Green Associate with an engineering and energy sector background. We bring professional project management and engineering discipline to residential renovation — the kind of organized, rigorous approach that makes the real difference between a smooth renovation and a stressful one.

NENS EcoBuild

Nataly Spinosa

Founder | PMP® | LEED® Green Associate

I've always been drawn to transformation — taking something worn down or neglected and turning it into a space that actually works for the people who live in it. The planning, the coordination, the moment a project comes together — I genuinely love that process.

What I don't love is the way renovations so often go wrong. Unclear pricing. Shifting timelines. Trades who overpromise and disappear. Quality that only happens when someone is watching. I've lived through it as a client, and I've heard the same stories from homeowners across York Region. I started NENS EcoBuild because I knew there was a better way — and because professional project management, which is standard in engineering, is practically unheard of in residential renovation.

I also built this company with a clear commitment to sustainability. I believe that building and renovating responsibly isn't a premium option — it's just the right way to build. Using materials that protect indoor air quality. Making choices that reduce energy and water use. Thinking about the long-term health of the space and the people in it. This is what LEED represents, and it's embedded in everything we do.

My background spans engineering, project leadership in the energy and technology sectors, and a genuine belief that homes should be built — and renovated — to serve the people inside them and the planet we all share.

Our Mission: To deliver sustainable, professionally managed renovations that improve people's homes, protect their wellbeing, and respect the planet — one project at a time.

Where we're going

NENS EcoBuild is the beginning of something larger. Our goal is to build not just renovated spaces, but a whole ecosystem of sustainable construction — homes that run on renewable energy, preserve water, use healthy materials, and integrate technology to actively manage their own performance. We're at the start of that journey, and every project we complete brings us one step closer.

Our work follows LEED-aligned best practices — energy efficiency, water conservation, healthy materials, and long-term environmental stewardship.

Our Core Values

Honesty

We tell you what a project will really cost, what it will really take, and what to expect — before work begins. No surprises.

Respect

Your home is one of your most important assets. We treat it — and you — with genuine care. Every client deserves clear communication and to be taken seriously.

Sustainability

Every decision considers environmental impact and occupant wellbeing. We choose materials and methods that support healthier living, cleaner air, and a more efficient home.

Accountability

We deliver on our commitments. If something unexpected comes up — and in renovation, it sometimes does — we tell you immediately, explain the options, and solve it together.
